SASTRA University BTech Counselling 2018   

SASTRA University will organize SASTRA University BTech Counselling 2018 for admission into B.Tech degree courses offered by the SASTRA University. The Counselling of SASTRA University B.Tech will be organized on the basis of SASTRA University B.Tech rank list/merit list. The rank merit list is prepared on the basis of scores obtained in the 12th class and JEE (Main) examination. The SASTRA University BTech admission will be done based on the merit rank. The SASTRA B.Tech counselling and admission procedure will starts in June 2018.  To participate in the counselling for SASTRA B.Tech, aspirants must register for the admission. Moreover, aspirants are required to appear for the SASTRA counselling process in person along with all the required documents. SASTRA University Counselling 2018

Aspirants who want to get admission into the B.Tech courses at SASTRA University have to register for the counselling. SASTRA University BTech Admission will be organized under 2 streams. 70% of B.Tech seats will be allocated based on the aspirant’s 10+2 level marks and JEE Main scores of the aspirants through stream I.  The remaining 30% of B.Tech seats will be awarded based on the 10+2 exam or equivalent scores obtained by the aspirants through stream II. Seats will be allocated to the aspirants into UG engineering courses depending on their merit rank in the SASTRA B.Tech merit list.  At the time of SASTRA University BTech Counselling, aspirants are required to be physically present at the counselling campus.  Aspirants have to first register for the counselling process. The aspirants can download SASTRA University counselling call letters from the official site (www.sastra.edu).

SASTRA University BTech Counselling Process

  • Aspirants who have applied for SASTRA University B.Tech admission have to attend the SASTRA University BTech counselling.
  • The SASTRA B.Tech counselling process will be conducted at SASTRA Campus in Thanjavur in June 2018.
  • Aspirants must download the SASTRA University BTech counselling call letter from the SASTRA official site.
  • The counselling for SASTRA University B.Tech will be organized in two rounds. The SASTRA University B.Tech 2nd round counselling will be held based on vacancy position.
  • The second round of SASTRA B.Tech counselling will be published at official site in June 2018.

SASTRA University Admission will be based on scores obtained under 2 streams:-

Stream I: -

  • Stream I rank list/merit list is based on normalized +2 marks & JEE (Main) scores calculated with 75% & 25% weightage. Aspirants under stream I will be allocated 70% of the B.Tech seats.

Stream II: -

  • Stream II rank list/merit list is based on normalized +2 marks & SASTRA University B.Tech seat allotment is based on the rank obtained and no. of seats available at the time of SASTRA University BTech counselling. The remaining 30% of B.Tech seats is filled by the aspirants under stream 2.

All aspirants will have an AIRs (All India Rank). Moreover, aspirants who completed their 10+2 examination in Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry will be allocated TN Rank (Tamil Nadu Rank) too. SASTRA University seats allotment is based on All India Rank & TN Rank.

In addition, 20% of seats are allocated to aspirants who completed their 10+2 examination from schools in the Thanjavur & Trichy. Such aspirants will be given TRY/TNJ rank.

 

Documents to be submitted at the time of SASTRA University BTech Counselling

Aspirants need to submit the following documents/certificates for verification during the counselling process:-

  • 10+2 class or its equivalent mark sheet
  • Migration certificate, if applicable
  • JEE Main Score Card, if applicable
  • Transfer certificate
  • DD favouring SASTRA University, payable at Thanjavur
  • Latest passport size photograph
